Like many children before me, I have wanted to be a marine biologist from a very young age. From marine science camps to REUs and eventually obtaining a B.S. in Aquatic and Fishery Sciences at the University of Washington, my love of ichthyology (the study of fish) and research has only grown. In the hopes of eventually becoming a professor, I am now entering the next chapter in my career journey: graduate school. As I navigate the world of academia, this site is meant to be both an outlet for my fish nerdiness and a road map for aspiring scientists/marine biologists looking for support.
